The focal point of this card was cut from a piece of hand made cotton paper that I found in the gift wrapping section of Cost+ World Market several years ago. It is a very heavy weight paper with rich layers of color and gold highlights. In keeping with the Indian origin, the silk sari ribbon was a logical embellishment. The little gold medallion was cut from bits out of the scrap bin.

Wow, what a find! That paper is gorgeous! I love the deep rick color and it looks like it really has some texture to it! Really love the ribbon trim you added to the edge as well!
