This card is for this week's Teaparty recipient Beth. She has a Golden Retriever named Buddy and they love to walk by the beach. I think wherever you go in life, it's great to have a friend along and sometimes the best friend is a dog.
This wasn't a difficult card to make, but there were a lot of steps. First I used Distress Inks as watercolors to make the background and then stamped the Friends Definition into the sky. Unfortunately, it didn't really show up the way I wanted and when I stamped again the page had moved so it was blurry. I added some water and more inks and toned it down some. Then I highlighted a couple of the "friends" words on the stamp with a Tombow marker here and there rather than do the whole stamp, Wasn't where I started with this idea, but I am very happy with where it ended. I like the soft muted tones in the sky and the hint of words floating on the clouds. The grass needed "something" so I stamped the scratches from the SU grunge stamp set. The image was colored with Copics and die cut. This particular die cuts out the inner circle and cuts the pattern onto the panel framing the circle so I also die cut the pattern with an infinity circle die that was the right size -- yay. The sentiment was computer generated using Calibiri font. I watercolored a scrap of cardstock with Tumbled Glass to mat the sentiment. Glued it all down. Popped the panel up with foam on a white card base.
We were asked to "dig deep" and use supplies we haven't used before or in a long while. So, I had to "dig" through all of Mo's shop to find a digital stamp that suited the occasion. Believe me, it was tough work and I really worked up a sweat; but aren't those two so adorable together. And, I have not used this stamp before. LOL. Also, I haven't used Distress Inks in quite awhile because I am usually grabbing Oxides these days. Maybe that qualifies???
So, thank you Splitcoastville friends for taking this card journey with me today. I truly appreciate the support you have given me in this adventure of ink and paper. Hope your day is filled with friendship and adventure too. TFL.

What a darling image and you've colored it to perfection. I love the die cut you used to frame this and how you stamped the word friends in the bg...so cute.

Adoprable and beautiful! Your coloring/shading is totally amazing. BG colors so soft and love the word friends repeated, very creative. I enjoy following your journey to complete each card.

That vintage little boy with his best friend is so sweet, and the sentiment is a lovely one to be sending Beth. I think you did a great rescue job on the background. I hate it when a stamp shifts, or rather the paper shifts. Gorgeous Grunge was a great way of adding detail to the grass.

Debbie, what a delight of a card. What a great image and you have colored it wonderfully. I just love the look on that dog's face. This image reminds me of something Mary Engelbreit would have done. Fabulous looking and faved!
