Lydia's tutorial can be found here for creating the bg. I used cold pressed watercolor paper and it resulted in a much softer look. (I don't have any hot press paper...just not fond of it for the watercoloring I do)

I call this a perfect Christmas card. Great sky you created and I love the die cuts.

This may not have been what you hoped for but it did make into a beautiful Christmas card - I love the soft subtle shading behind the sheep & shepherds. . .I wasn't consciously aware of it at first look but it adds so much extra depth to your scene.

I really like that you have the star shining along your night sky! This is beautiful! You created a powerful scene. I had great results with Bristol Smooth Carstock. It's interesting how different papers give different results.

What a beautiful sky for this wonderful night! Your silhouette die is great.

This is so lovely. You picked up on the blue/purples with your border. Also, using white silhouettes works so well to contrast. A wonderful composition, embracing the technique.
