This is my attempt at today's TLC, Faux Fresco. First off, I have no non-watercolor colors. So I did use Crayola watercolor paints to color my Darice ef. After it was dry I used my only acrylic paint - white! Yep, you guess it, no sandpaper so I used the rough side of a nail file. While I was smearing the white paint on, I knew why non-watercolor colors are needed. I like the look I got. I really liked the card after I added the die cut frame, then picked out the flowers to die cut, forgetting they are only the frame. I might've used a color for the flowers. But, it's done. I did something new & I like my card!!
Thanks Jean for a new technique to try.
Thanks for stopping by.

So glad you tried it and persevered. I'm so happy most of us kept the background as the focal point, that's what techniques are about. I think it turned out wonderfully, so soft and lovely.

I think the white die-cut flowers look good because you have those coloured flowers in the background. Have you even a few Sharpies? Or wax crayons, I'd say they might work. But the important thing is that you're happy with what you did get even with your watercolours, and quite right too, it's lovely.
