I made it! Drawing is not my thing. There is a reason why I stamp. Here's my story: When I think of pen pals, I think of postcards though one should really write a whole letter. When I was a teen, my aunt and uncle lived in Asia and the front of this postcard is tribute to that. There was no "zoom" or "facetime" and phone calls were costly and the connections poor so we wrote lots of letters. The mail was slow so we always paid extra to send "par avion". The "pen" portion of my postcard is the red/blue edging, the dividing line and the greeting. Envelope embellished with typewriter. Hope this gets me into the party. Enjoy!

Wonderful memories that you have shared and displayed here. And what a wonderful card this will be for Barbara to receive. I love the Par Avion border you created. I didn't get any of those cards, but I do still remember the borders so good memories for me too. TFS.

Love how you have put together a lovely Asian themed collage. Lots of lovely cherry blossoms in the background and on the fan too. A perfect pen pal card.

That envelope with "write" is super. I did used to type most of my letters on a small portable. Sometimes I wish I still had one of my old typewriters, but apart from the difficulty of getting ribbons, I think I would find them very slow and stiff after getting used to a keyboard. Love your Asian themed card.
