I forgot about Watercolor Wednesday again this week. And you know I'm terrified of it each week. I am no pro at watercoloring. That's why it's so important that I do it each week. Maybe I'll get better and not feel like I watercolor like a third grader. I think this is middle school quality today! I watched Dina's video to get some tips, but I wish my ink pads were more vibrant. You know I love me some bright colors. Anyway, my favorite tip was to mix all the colors together to ground the image and I really like how that came out. Decided to keep it CAS with a simple frame around it and just add Stickles.

Don't stress Jen, have fun instead. I think you did a great job on this and there are a couple of reasons why. It is meant to be a fun image, to seriously watercolour this image would ruin the intent. The background keeps it fun and your grounding is great. If you want deeper colours use less water and more pigment, the water will lighten the colour and when watercolour dries it is always lighter anyway. Keep on ... you are doing great.

Jen, this is such a fun image and so glad you are playing with us. I mixed the colors of my flowers with a green color to do my leaves this week so mixing can be good. You did a good job with this fun birthday card.

Another fun card Jen. Your “grounding” turned out better than mine and I ended up having to fussy cut lol. TFS. Happy day

Super fun image and I love the watercoloring. As much as I like bright colors too, sometimes the more muted tones are just the right touch -- like this time. Super adorable. Super fun.
