Jeanne chose some lovely spring colors this week with a thank you card for dessert. I had this springy stamp on my list of stamps to finally use and I thought it would look really nice in these colors. Decided to get some watercolor practice in. I need more practice. Still watercolor like a third grader. My "Berry Burst" colored flowers are a muddy blob of color so I just stamped a big bold sentiment over them. This Power Poppy set had the perfect Thank You sentiment for that purpose. As you can see I made two --one is a thinking of you card. Then I die cut with my new favorite die, popped up on pink cardstock and added some iridescent sequins. I think I saved it after all.

I give you full credit......I hardly ever make an attempt at water coloring.....practice? If I took a year of lessons, I would still be afraid to do it!!

Your cards are beautiful, Jen! I don't think these colors can be anything but beautiful, but I know what you mean about the watercoloring...we could probably all take lessons from Sallie!

That is such a pretty stamp, Jen. I can definitely see why it was on your list and I’ll join you in the more WC practice group.
Covering the purple ‘mass’ of flowers was good move, smile. Yeah you for doubling up!
