Wanted to break away from my usual "heart" format for this year's anniversary card. In the story Peter Pan, the croc is said to symbolize time and the passage of time, so I decided to go this route. Plus I think the image is just so dang fun. I saw this exquisitely colored card by Leslie Kollinsky on Facebook. I tried my best to copy her color selections, but I don't own all the Copic colors (at least that's my excuse for not getting it perfect...LOL) so I had to substitute. I LOVE hers, but I am satisfied with mine. Here's a link to her card:
The sentiment on the card is computer generated using "Gloss and Bloom" and "Copperplate" fonts.
I was going to use the sentiment: "You croc me up" and inside "I hope you never grow up"; but decide on the mushy one instead. It is an anniversary card after all. I don't know, maybe it needs a rhinestone!
In case you're interested in the colors: The croc's tummy: YG0000, Y11, Y13 and I lightly touched in some YR24 bottom right. The croc's head and back: YG91, YG95, G99 then I dotted YG61 and YG63 on some of the scales for a little more green. The inside of the mouth is E42 and the tongue R32. The water: BG0000, BG11, BG18.
Hope you all are having a great day playing...playing is good for the soul. TFL

What a fantastically fun anniversary card this is Debbie. I think you did a magnificent job coloring this image. It is full of depth and dimension and that just brings him to life so beautifully. Fabulous sentiments for an anniversary card too. This just makes me smile really big! ~Karen.
