This is a group of cards I made practicing with some watercolor. These are inspired by Nicole Watt at Pixel Maven’s Retreat with a walkthrough on an episode of . The episode was a great time for card creation ideas with help for color and sketch challenges. It was a look at putting ideas into action.

I chose Cotton Candy, Coral Berry, and Moon Rock from Altenew’s 36 pan watercolor set. I am working on 90lb watercolor paper and just painting on a water flooded panel. Once dry, I cut the paper into one inch strips. I attached the strips with either double sided taper or liquid glue.

For one set of cards I tried a bit of splatter on the panel before cutting down into strips and tearing it. I tested using liquid glue to adhere the strips to the cardbase. For the other set of cards I cut the panels and used double sided tape to add onto a panel of cardstock and then onto the cardbase. Both the designs were another great practice and a chance to try new techniques.
