It makes me happy that while we're all quarantined I can still make sure that my family has all the cards that they want to send. This one is for my sister-in-law to mail to her aunt for her birthday. She asked me if I could make her a flamingo card. This is a pre-colored flamingo that was a freebie at The Hungry JPEG. I copied and pasted and flipped some and changed sizes to make a flock of flamingos. I wanted a kind of watercolor wash to ground them, so I made the blue watercolor wash using Procreate on my phone. I colored in a little bit of the water and flamingos with a colored pencil and then added Wink of Stella to make it a little more special. Then I sponged two of the circles of the sketch and cut the other one out of a scrap of paper from my drawer and popped it up with foam squares

This card is a real lesson on how to combine technology with traditional art. Turned out so great. I am trying to learn how to incorporate digital images during this quarantine.
