Everything old is new again! I used two long retired stamp sets (and coordinating punch) and ink with some of the new Purple Posy card stock to create a floral card for the SU Only challenge as well as the Paper Players sketch. As soon as I saw the sketch I knew what I wanted to do. And it gave me a chance to make a birthday card for one of my "purple lovers". I added the leaf by stamping a very tiny leaf from the Soft Sayings card kit (also ret) in Granny Apple Green. I was excited to try my hand at embossing with the die from the Needlepoint Elements dies. It came out beautifully and I think you can see it in the background on the soft color card stock. I thought the oldie but goodie Lavender Lace ink looked nice with the new Purple Posy for which we have no matching ink. Thanks for taking a peek at my card.

You've kept two great retired sets (I still have Petite Pairs too) and they work perfectly for your delightful card. One of your "purple lovers" will be thrilled! Adding the beautiful Needlepoint embossing die ties it all in nicely. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous card at The Paper Players!

What a lovely card! I love how you showcased the various blossoms. The stitching is the perfect background. It's absolutely perfect in purple! Thank you for sharing with The Paper Players this week!
