I used the layout and was inspired by her colors as well as kept the plaid background. I changed the occasion, the stamp set, and card base color.
I loved her layout with the plaid background layer. After stamping the plaid background stamp on the Cherry Cobbler layer, I also stamped it on some Shaded Spruce, Mossy Meadow, and another piece of Cherry Cobbler because I decided I wanted to paper piece what the fishermen are wearing.
I stamped the boat and then masked it. I used the trees from the alcohol ink stamp kit to create the tree background and then colored the water. I colored the main image and paper pieced the fishermen in their plaid attire. I stamped the greeting and fish, colored, and fussy cut.
Thanks for the wonderful inspiration, Krista, my fishing buddy will love his card. Enjoy your week!
Thanks for looking!

Terrific fishing scene! Love the sentiment on the fish hook. Love how you used the plaid for the background and for paper piecing the clothing. Well done! Wonderful case. Great card!
