A friend of mine recently asked me if I could make him a personalized card to give to his friend whom he calls âGooseâ. His friend has been generously helping him renovate his beach cottage, so he wanted a Top Gun/beach themed Thank You card. It took me some time to come up with the perfect card, but todayâs challenge combined well with Kellyâs Falliday Fest challenge for the perfect card. Of course for Robinâs challenge today, I chose to go with handwriting my sentiment. I had pictured it a little bigger, but I need my plastic address guide template to keep my writing straight and that limited the size of my letters. Kellyâs Pop Out card was perfect for the jet that I wanted to feature on the card (had to go online and find a free coloring page). I did go a bit rogue on the tutorial and just put it on a wobble spring to pop it up. Worked great. Only one problem with this card that Iâm realizing after I have uploaded. I totally colored the ocean as sand. I donât know whatâs wrong with me lately, but I keep doing things like that!

You nailed this personal challenge! I love this this. Even before I read what you wrote, I thought of Top Gun! I think your hand written sentiment is great!

Oh my gosh, you are so creative Jen. Never in my wildest dreams could I combine Top Gun and Beach Houses - you are a whiz. Your friend and Goose are sure to get a kick out of this. I thought the ocean/sand colouring was on purpose, it looks like you balanced the colours with the pop out background. I hope you didn't change it.
