Thanks, Sabrina, for giving us a fun and easy technique today. I think I will do this more often. Instead of showcasing some DP today, I figured I would consult my list of unused stamps and I found this cute background and stamped it with my Kaleidacolor ink. I also had this mini borders set waiting to be used. You might say I killed two birds with one stone, but no birds were harmed in the making of this card. Speaking of birds, I cut them with my ScanNCut and colored them to match the background (I never use jewel tones!). I was inclined to make plain black edging for my recessed panel, but I stopped myself and cut some scallops with my new wave die. That's three times I've used it in the first week!
This card is going to a coworker who is celebrating 15 years with the company and also just won a big-time award for the great work that she does!

What a fab idea to use unloved stamps to fill in the space. I love those bright birds!!

Jen, this card is just as tweet as tweet can be, and I mean this in the best possible way. I adore the colors, the scalloped black edges that frame out your wonderful stamping. You are so smart to use a kaleidocolor ink pad to do your stamping (I need to remember to do this more often), But it is these birds that steal the show for me. I know your co-worker is going to treasure this gorgeous card you made for her. ~Karen.

I'm so glad no birds were harmed marking this LOL. Jen every inch of this is terrific, what a great technique to showcase small images (gorgeous colours and colouring) and splashes of background stamping. You have inspired me Jen...yep, again!!
