I created this card in honor of my great grandmother, Birgithe, who immigrated to Utah from Denmark in the mid 1800's across the prairie in a covered wagon. I know the prairie is far from the beach but the background colors match the gorgeous blue sky and beautiful butterscotch orange plant I saw at the beach in Pacific Grove, CA last week. I think the fresh prairie breeze is probably a lot hotter than the California coast, though.
What a lovely tribute to your great-grandmother! Your coloring is gorgeous -- I feel like I can touch the folds of her pinafore and the prairie grass! And your gold leafing is perfect.

Nancy, this is a very sweet and beautiful card, love the pretty Mo Manning girl - you have coloured her so well! The framing and beautiful sky behind her look fantastic!
