I had a lot of fun exploring ways to use paper towel and ink after making a card for TLC751 the other day. I rolled a strip of towel like making a rose and applied oxide ink to my craft sheet and spritzed with water. Next, I dipped the rough end of the rolled towel into the watery ink and stamped it onto glossy photo paper. I used Lucky Clover and then with another rolled towel using Candied Apple. Then I got an idea to unroll the saturated paper towel and press onto cardstock. It wasn't producing great results, so I went back to glossy photo paper. I added more ink to the towel same as I did with it rolled up but dipping the edge of the flat strip and then spritzing with water to saturate it and then made a sandwich with 2 photo papers and the towel between and using a burnish rubbing technique to transfer the ink onto the 2 photo papers. The succulent die cuts are from the dual photo paper sandwich that I created. I did add more ink with a paper towel to the pots and the saguaro cactus to darken them a bit more. The background shading was done with Milled Lavender and Antique Linen Distress and a paper towel mask. Stamped the sentiment in black and sponged Lucky Clover over it and added dots with a white pen. The plants are popped up with foam tape.

Beautiful CAS card, Julie. Your background looks like a great way to achieve the look of a watercolour wash, idea noted for future reference. You got fantastic texture in your succulents from the paper towel.
