I was sitting at my desk wondering how I could combine today's challenges. I think I did ok. I got out my old SU pastel chalk & a make up brush. I closed my eyes & let the brush swing & used the row it ended up on! I started in the middle of the row & card & loaded the brush with Lovely Lilac & pounced on the color. I then proceded to the other colors in the row - Brilliant Blue, Tempting Turquoise, Pink Passion, Positively Pink & Orchid Oppulence. I decided to use stitched dies & now I'm 'out of my comfort zone' b/c I can't use an image. I found a little butterfly die on the floor & used for the CAS Tiny Things. The sentiment is from Friend to Friend. I used old things today!!
Thanks for stopping by.

I love your out-of-your-comfort-Zone card. And I don’t think using the butterfly die as you did in any way violated the rules of challenge - the butterflies are not fully cut (looks like their bodies are still attached to the circle panel).
As for using chalks, I admire you for choosing that technique. It is one that totally intimidates me because the color never ends up were I intended. Your chalking turned out beautifully, with a bit of swirl that carries the eye around the circle. Neat card for the challenge. TFS!

I love old things! And your card is so lovely and fresh at the same time...nothing looks old. What a wonderful card for both challenges. And I love your color selection 'tool'.
Yes, it's good to be neighbors, even if only in the ether.

Great way to create the BG. I have never thought of applying chalks pouncing. It's gorgeous! the little butterflies are very effective without a stamped image!

What a clever use of the background, Karen. I always find those "in the paper" dies and punches hard to use, but this is super for both the CAS and the TLC challenges.
