TLC747 provided the idea for the background for the birthday owl. I used Distress oxide ink in Fossilized Amber and Twisted Citron.
CAS538 wanted balloons. I thought about using more than one but decided on a minimalist approach.
ABC11O15 the alphabet challenge letter of the week is O and with this, I am caught up! Woot, woot! My O is an owl. The double challenge was to make an optimistic card. Does a birthday card qualify?
I stamped the branch and colored it, then, using the stamp-a-ma-jig, stamped the party hat and balloon. Then I masked the owl, party hat, and balloon and created the ink pad background.
I heat embossed the sentiment. Inside it says, "To You."
I intended to color the owl and balloon but both of my girls (teenagers) liked it this way. So this is the way it stays.
Thanks for the challenges which helped me get this birthday card made.
Thanks for looking!

I think the uncoloured owl is perfect with that background. He stands out nicely and lets his expression say it all! Great birthday card for both guys and gals!
