I needed a sympathy card. My SU Demo had demonstrated a similar card that I have been wanting to try. For the background, I applied ink to the embossing folder and then put it through my Big Shot. I changed the sentiment stamp, heat embossed in silver and punched it out rather than cut a strip. I do not have the stamp that goes with the leaf punch, so I used a negative cut and stenciled on the square for the darker leaves. I punched leaves from velum and metallic cardstocks. I changed the card base to Going Gray in my continued effort to use up retired cardstock.
Thank you for all the wonderful inspiration!
Thank you for looking!

The gray and white with the embossing folder looks awesome together and made such a pretty background of leaves. Also, the vellum and metallic looks great on the sentiment panel.

Wow! I am soaking in all the details of this card! I would totally copy it exactly next time I need a sympathy card. So elegant and soft. I really like the angled square frame behind the square panel and how the sentiment and leaves hang off the edge a bit. That ink on the embossing folder is a fun technique - I've never tried it with gray, but now I will!
