Remember Whykickamoocow and Miss Ida May Chapman? Here is a reminder: Miss Ida May Chapman by jkanack at Splitcoaststampers

Miss Ida May heard about the distress in Kettle Valley and knew she needed to come to their rescue. She is the chairman of the flower competition in Whykickamoocow and what is a May Day celebration without flowers?

So she has flown in all the way from Australia to help out. The flower that is the focal point for Kettle Valley is a rare form of forget me not, dark blue with a design on it, a white opalescent center and Miss Ida May knows just what to do with it: garlands and garlands of these unusual flowers. Elley, Trish and Jessie are so relieved and happy to have Miss Ida May help. Oh and by the way, Whykickamoocow decided to elect Miss Ida May as chair of the flower competition because, that way, she cannot compete any longer. She always wins!

Several pre-made backgrounds went into this. The front panel is made from alcohol ink on a gel plate using regular cs and the inside panels are the shaving cream and DOx reinkers. I hadn't had a chance to do Sabrina's fold technique a week ago and I have to say, this was the easiest fold I've ever done and I love it. The best thing about folds, in MHO, is that you can tell a story and use lots of images.

So thanks for reading the story of Kettle Valley's May Day celebration and how Miss Ida May Chapman came to the rescue.

Gorgeous background, with great sunset/firework colours. The silhouetted parade looks great against it. I'm glad you had fun trying the fold.

I'd always thought that squares weren't a problem to mail here, but when I checked the An Post website (after making envelopes for all three of my corner pop-ups), I discovered that squares smaller than 5" ARE a problem, so they're all filed in my card box with their nice custom made square envelopes and a regular metric C6.

Great story! I've always loved that little parade silhouette image.....so darn cute! And your background of the alcohol inks on a gel plate is really cool!

well Ellie, Trish and Jessie are First in line to thank Ida May or organizing the flowers and such pretty ones at that. And all the way from Whykickamoocow....so sweet...:0)...I remember that fold and have not tried that yet...will have to do so , it DOES look like fun and like you say can tell a whole story on it....like this little band of friends marching along to the parade, and you even have the May day parade banner...super idea. Thanks so much for coming to help out and have a great day...HUGS
