I made this card for this week's Teapot Tuesday Challenge. Susie Australia is our hostess this week and she has a fabulous challenge called, "Say It With Flowers." Amen Susie! After all the snow I have been looking at, flowers are much appreciated. The recipient this week is Caterina so I looked through her gallery and noticed she has a nice mix of warm and cool colors so I went with warm colors for this card. I adore playing with layering stamps and I was playing around with some different colors. I layered yellow, then pinks on top and got this coral color that I thought was "interesting." I was not sure if this was good interesting or bad interesting. It was not until I did the green leaves that I decided I could make these flower pieces work. I cut out a circle using 2 spellbinder circle dies, I put a thin foam strip on the back of the circle so some of the flower and leaf pieces are on top of the circle and some are tucked under it for some dimension. Thank you for this great challenge Susie and my thoughts are definitely with Caterina now too. Thank you for looking today! ~Karen.

You had me at "good interesting or bad interesting", you're funny Karen. Definitely good interesting and absolutely beautiful. The design and colours, and your colouring is fabulous. Thanks so much for bringing this to Caterina's Teaparty.

Oh, I bet you are thrilled with this one, as I am sure Caterina will be. Love the coloring you got using those mix of colors. The silver glittery circle is so pretty and gives your card a real elegance too!

another delightful beauty Karen!! this marvelous peony reminds me of a beautiful peony plant a dear friend of mine gave me. I was not able to take it with when we moved; your card is one step closer to seeing it in real life!
Caterina will LOVE this!!

The colour combination is definitely good interesting. It reminds me of one of the roses that I really like in the rose garden in the Botanic Gardens. And the contrast of the soft flowers with the beautiful silver framing the sentiment is really stylish and elegant.
