I made this card for this week's Teapot Tuesday Challenge. Susie Australia is our hostess this week and she has a fabulous challenge called, "Say It With Flowers." Amen Susie! After all the snow I have been looking at, flowers are much appreciated. The recipient this week is Caterina so I looked through her gallery and noticed she has a nice mix of warm and cool colors so I went with warm colors for this card. I adore playing with layering stamps and I was playing around with some different colors. I layered yellow, then pinks on top and got this coral color that I thought was "interesting." I was not sure if this was good interesting or bad interesting. It was not until I did the green leaves that I decided I could make these flower pieces work. I cut out a circle using 2 spellbinder circle dies, I put a thin foam strip on the back of the circle so some of the flower and leaf pieces are on top of the circle and some are tucked under it for some dimension. Thank you for this great challenge Susie and my thoughts are definitely with Caterina now too. Thank you for looking today! ~Karen.

How did I miss this gorgeous card? I love that glittery circle with those beautifully colored flowers around the encouraging sentiment for Caterina. Truly this is a card with flowery thoughts. Beautifully done, Karen.

We have a rose bush in the backyard with similar colors (which I LOVE!), although by the time the flowers are this open, the pinkish color has faded quite a bit. Gorgeous card for Caterina, Karen!

I love the colors of your flower! What a great idea to browse through Caterina's gallery to get a feel for what she likes (why didn't I think of that?). Beautiful design!
