This dp is one I've had for a long time and have been saving it cuz it's a fav...I'm using it for today's challenge because of the golden color. We were to be inspired by a recipe and I chose my grandma's caramel frosting. She would make a yellow cake and then frost it with this totally yummy frosting made mostly from brown sugar and butter....you had to boil it for several minutes to make it thicker. When it sets it's almost the consistency of a fudge...anyway that was what I thought of when I made this card. It's going out to JoAnn, sister of Pat (pvilbaum)...I hope it brings her some cheer.

Oh my goodness this is gorgeous. Your coloring along with the beautiful frame and dp made one striking card. Yummy recipe for the frosting. My Grandma used that frosting recipe for her poppyseed cake. TFS Hope you got to enjoy yesterday's weather.

What a true show stopper of a card this is Polly and oh-so pretty for spring too. You have colored this to the 9's and the elegant frame you used makes this image feel extra special too. I remember my grandmother making a cake like that and oh my, was it it ever good! I forgot all about that wonderful recipe until you wrote about it here. I love the sentiment you chose you and with the spring flowers this card evokes a lot of hope for someone going through what JoAnn is going through right now. Hugs! ~Karen.

shall we start a DP anonymous, mf? I have the same said paper. Your card is lovely in it's golden dress! Can I confess I keep a jar of homemade caramel sauce in the frig?
