Mary is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us the lovely spring colors of Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, and Pear Pizzazz. The dessert option is spring or Easter.
Any time you give me two shades of purple and a green, I'm going to give you Blossoms Abound! This SU set is long retired, and one of my all-time favorite sets. I think I get dessert, because lilacs mean spring to me!
I decided on an unusual shape/size for my card. It fits in a #10 business envelope. Besides the shape, there are a couple of other interesting things about this card. First, I used a fan brush to make my splatters, and I love the effect! Second, the location of the bow: Jaunty and cute, right? And it also covers a boo-boo where the corner of the cardstock got wet and the stamped image ran! Mistakes are always an opportunity for embellishment!
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

I'm right there with you in that this is also one of my all-time favorite floral stamp sets! Your long layout with the lilacs coming in from the top edge is so creative! And darn, I have been looking for my fan brush for ages. I think it grew legs and walked away... Love the splatter effect you achieved with yours!

What a great design Barbara, it really showcases those gorgeous lilacs so well! I really like the look of the splatters with the fan brush, I must check that out! And great recovery with the use of your ribbon to cover a "boo boo" 😁.

These lilacs look perfect adorning this pretty long card. I need to make long cards more often than I do.
