I probably should do acrylic block stamping more often. It does make a fun background for a CAS card. It's just one of those techniques that is unpredictable and therefore makes me nervous. I solved that this morning by making four of them with different inks and varying amounts of water. That way I could choose the one (or two) that I liked best. I saved the other two for later projects. The one on the right uses Distress Oxides and quite a bit of water and the one on the left uses Distress inks and less water. As you can see, I do not concern myself with how straight I can stamp the block. But I think the curvy shape of my acrylic block is very forgiving. I couldn't resist another card for today's CAS humor challenge. I think this panda is just too cute and paired with this sentiment stamp that I picked up on clearance at Hobby Lobby, makes a great get well card to have on hand.

I wonder who the first person was who said 'meh!' I like that acrylic block stamping too and never do it. Might remedy that very soon. Poor panda.....you don't strike me as the type to get nervous about unexpected. I love this!

Interesting to see them side by side - makes me realise why I felt DOX gave it a new lease of life. Irregular borders of any sort always make for more freedom! Great sentiment stamp, fun image.
