A friend of mine had me over to try out her new laminator. I swore I wasn't going to get into foiling but I love the results so much that I'm getting a laminator and a selection of foil!
This is my first attempt using a stencil (sorry, it was my friend's stencil - not sure what it is). I put the Transfer Gel through the stencil, let it dry for a bit as per the instructions, laid the bright blue foil on it, and ran it through the laminator.
Peeling it off to reveal what is left on the cs is quite wonderful. And it is so shiny! Hard to capture in a photo.
I added a sentiment (also unknown - it's been in my stash for years). Then trimmed the panel and bordered it with black shimmer paper.
You'll be seeing more foil from me in the future!

This is beautiful with the lovely blue. I know this card is even better IRL. Received some cards with the foiling, and it was amazing how beautiful it looks. TFS

This is beautiful! That sentiment just fits in perfectly between the two branches. Seeing how yours turned out one might be tempted to take the foil plunge....yikes!

WOW, this is gorgeous!!! I love how clean this is. The shiny blue is stunning. I can't fit any more new things in my room, so I'm safe. Thanks for sharing this lovely card.

This is lovely! The blue foil is really nice! I had sworn not to get into foiling also, but I already had the laminator so I did buy red foil to try it. Like you said it is so much a thrill to pull off the foil and see the result! So I guess our no foil plan is foiled!

What great serendipity that you had been experimenting. It's always great to be able to try before you buy. It does sound like great fun, but I'll keep on telling myself I don't have the space...although come to think of it, we do have a laminator! I can see a hint of the blue - it must be stunning in real life. Beautiful sentiment stamp too.
