I made this card for today's Ways To Use It Challenge. Carla has a fantastic challenge for us today called, "Foil Me." I had to read no further because anytime I can get my foil and laminator out, I am a very happy girl (even with a migraine). I placed the snowfall stencil over the navy blue bg panel and applied Deco transfer gel over the entire piece, then set this aside to dry. I stamped, colored and fussy cut out Santa on his bag of goodies. I also added glitter to his beard to make it look frosty and Stampendous fun flock to all the white areas of his suit (this stuff gets everywhere, but it is fun to use). The Sleigh was die cut twice; once in gold mirror cs and once in red suede paper. I did some fancy trimming and glued the red onto the gold mirror piece. There is fun foam behind the ornament so it has some dimension. Once the stenciled piece had dried clear, then I heat up my laminator, placed a royal blue foil piece on top and ran it through my laminator. This pieced turned out darker than I expected it to so I was stumped for awhile on how to use it, but I just kept going. It was not until I cut the silver foil frame before this card came together. Photographing this card was like trying to photograph Liberace. There is so much sparkle and shine that the pictures were all blurry. I got one clear picture and this is the one. Thank you for this wonderful challenge Carla. I got another Christmas card made thanks to you! And thanks for looking today too. ~Karen.

Oh, I just came on to check the gallery, and yours had just came on. This is just wonderful Karen. Silver framing against the blue is gorgeous and your Santa in an awesome sleigh show up so well against the lighter blue piece. Love that you put him in an ornament with the silver edged dazzles.

Santa with his glittery beard reminds me of the one in the Chinese lanterns/lights exhibition in our zoo last Christmas. Most of it was an underwater and Arctic theme, which was just fantastic (think wire frames in shapes of fish, animals, snowmen) covered with coloured silk, and lit from inside, but there was also a little North Pole section with Santa's workshop and elves. What super sparkle - love the bow on the ornament, the cherry on the cake.
