This week's Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, and White were perfect for the Sympathy card I needed to make.
The friend it is going to is very into vintage and loves flowers. I have never seen a yellow hydrangea, but they exist. I think she is going to love this.
My hydrangeas were made as follows:
Mix some watercolors together and swipe on the paper.
Sprinkle on some white and gold frantage.
Heat from the bottom and wonder why the frantage is not melting.
Then realize that the paper is wet from the water color - not a good idea!
The burn marks are a neutral - yay! no paper will be wasted in the making of these flowers!
Die cut the paper and layer up the flowers. Find the only green rhinestone left in the craft room and add it for dessert!
Hope you will play with us too! These colors are hard to resist.
Many hugz!

So much fabulous texture on this lovely Sympathy card, Nancy, and the hydrangeas look beautiful! Fun reading your details of how you created the flowers too!

GORGEOUS card, Nancy! Those beautiful hydrangea blooms look labor intense to create....BUT what a WOW factor on your card. Love the corrugated panel for even more textural interest.

Your bg paper gives this a shabby chic look, and I love your pretty yellow hydrangeas, Nancy.

Oh, wow! What a wonderful sympathy card! The vintage look with the curled corner and the corrugated layer are a perfect backdrop behind the lovely and subtle hydrangeas. The one rhinestone kinda reminds me of a teardrop. I absolutely love this card--into my faves!
