Our theme today is to bring our own cup....I used an image from a new stamp (Thanks Jacqueline) , colored it with copics and added some backing layers. I love doilies so there's that and one of my favorite trims is some paper lace that I have. Note: the plate in my picture is actually one that my grandma painted probably 100 years ago. Painting china was a popular hobby that women did at that time...I know it was before she was married as her initials on the back were using her maiden name. It's lovely, isn't it?

What a special plate - and wow, what spectacular colouring. Can I take mine out of the gallery ;-). The doily looks so pretty cut from the patterned paper, and the die-cut lace is fab too.

Polly, your card brought me joy on this snowy morning. Your coloring is fantastic. You are one lucky person to have your grandmother's own personal heirloom plate. It is beautiful...you inherited her artistic genes. TFS

Thanks for sharing that lovely heirloom of your grandmother's talents as a china painter. It made a lovely background for this beautiful card you colored so masterfully. I like doilies with teacups too. They just seem like the obvious match.

WONDERFUL vintage card, love it! I especially love the lace elements you have used to add that vintage touch! Beautiful coloring of that lovely focal image, I especially like teacup stamps even though I don't drink tea, I just love the beauty of them! This is gorgeous!

Wow. First I need to talk about Grandmother's plate. I had no idea that painting china was a thing before! Wow - she was so talented because that plate is gorgeous. What an heirloom for sure!
Your card is sooo pretty too. Wonderful coloring, wonderful image, and super great details you added to make it all even more special. Gorgeousness for sure. Hugz to you Polly!

ditto Nancy's first sentence! I noticed the plate immediately. So very lovely, Pol...and I know how much it warms your heart! You've done Jacqueline's stamp up proud. Of course that paper lace and the doily...You are making me see doilies in a new light. And the coloring...
Speaking of grandmothers, I'd give anything to be able to have 'known' my grandmother when she was a young girl. Bad metaphor, but 'Let's do the time warp again', just streamed across my frontal lobe! Nary those two mingle. Smile.
