CASEing this card to honor Sally 'craftymerla' featured stamper's card " Poppy Spray ". Poppy Spray by CraftyMerla at Splitcoaststampers
Changed the colors used and the background differs. the Sizzix Lumber emb folder has very large ridges and love it. scotch taped the inner circles of die to the backside of thin oval frame section right out of the sizzix plate for the largest one and then had to fuss a little extra to tape the white one to the smaller lilac oval thin frame. I stamped the greenery FIRST, no platform, and used the stamp off technique for lighter greenery on the sides. then used platform for stamping flowers and bow. was very helpful to get a darker BOW image with several presses of the light Almost Amethyst marker ink. Thanks for looking!

Teresa, this is beautiful! Your mom is going to love this! I like how you stamped off the greenery and added it to the background. The effect is beautiful and gives the image more depth. The layered scalloped ovals frame the flower spray so nicely. With the wooden card base, the Poppy Spray looks like a framed picture hanging on the wall. I do believe you are inspiring me to take my set out again! Thanks for participating!

Terrific case. Nicely done with your mom's February birthday card. I like your idea to use the color of the birthstone. The scallop ovals are pretty. The wood-grain background is fabulous. Excellent card. TFS

This is so striking, your lovely ovals look like framed art hanging on a wall. I'm sure your mom will love her birthday card. My mom was a February girl as well.
