For my bands of color, I masked off stripes and sponged on Distress inks in random cool colors. Added in some stencil patterns in a couple of stripes. Finished off with some water splatter for interest. I wanted a nice cold looking background for my Lawn Fawn alpaca. This card is going to my nephew's girlfriend. She loves alpacas and I think she'll appreciate this humor.
But it's not actually cold out today--we're going to hit 50 here!

You had me totally fooled today, Jen - until I read your description I thought you had laid bands of washi tape!! Well done on the stenciled designs in side the bands of color!
