I am experimenting with monochromatic card making. Black and white are the colors I'm using right now. On a card base of Naturals White I adhered a frame die cut in Basic Black and added a panel of Everyday Chic DSP. I die cut the rose and leaves in Basic Black and positioned them in the lower right corner as required in the sketch. I trimmed the leaf fronds down a little to make them fit in without showing inside the rose petals. I stamped the sentiment in Archival Black ink on Naturals White CS, die cut it, pierced a frame around it and tucked it in the corner on dimensionals. For the finishing touches I added a black and white twine bow and two rhinestones to the sentiment and a larger rhinestone to the center of the rose.

This is just lovely! What a gorgeous floral, it looks like lace! It would work for the Retro Rubber challenge this week, too, which is black and white! Thanks for sharing this at AYSI!!

This is so striking, Eunice! Black and white is such a crisp combination to work with - so classic. That's a lovely border and the tag sentiment is so sweet. Thank you for joining us again at As You See It Challenge.
I love monochromatic cards and this one is beautiful! I like how you combined the rose die with the fronds. They look great together. Thanks for playing along on the As You See It Challenge Blog!
