I started by matting my Schoolhouse DSP onto a layer of Tangerine Tango CS then onto a Coastal Cabana card base. As I was planning this to be a masculine card, I adhered some 1/8" strips of Tangerine Tango CS vertically onto the card front instead of using ribbon. I stamped the main image and cut it out with a Stitched Oval die, added a stamped off once Pool Party colored swish from Gorgeous Grunge then used my stamp positioner to add the word 'enjoy'. I used the next size larger die to cut out the Coastal Cabana layer then turned that die upside down on Tangerine Tango CS, traced around it's outer edge and fussy cut it. After adhering them together I ran a thin bead of glue on the Coastal Cabana layer just outside the Whisper White oval. I estimated the size of loop I needed, tied a loose square knot in it and then carefully laid the Two tone trim down tight to the white layer. I adjusted it to fit and tightened the knot up a little more, fraying the ends and snipping them to fit. The sentiment was stamped onto a Whisper White scrap, the ends were flagged and it was mounted onto a Coastal Cabana Modern Label then onto a Tangerine Tango one that I snipped in half and adhered to the back, peeking out on each end. The oval was popped up on dimensionals, the sentiment was glued directly to the card front and some Tangerine Tango Enamel shapes were added to finish it up.

I like your nautical touches around the image, Eunice, along with your colours. The way you frayed the ends of your rope looks really cool. Thanks for joining us at As You See It Challenges.

I like the way that you've resisted making a Christmas wreath and have gone for a masculine birthday instead. I like the way you've kept everything nautical in your choices and the frayed rope is a clever interpretation of the sketch. Thanks for joining us at As You See It, Eunice. And Happy Christmas to you too.
