For Nicole's VSN challenge to rescue something. My rescued item is the blue with circles paper. I can't remember what technique I was trying with acrylic paint but I made this panel and didn't like how it turned out at all. I don't know why I didn't just throw it away but when I read this challenge, I wanted to try to rescue this panel. After much thought, I came up with this. I think it is a bright and happy birthday card.
I glued the various sizes of circles down in a random pattern on the glossy cs, then dry embossed it.
I stamped the sentiment and then stamped daffodil delight candles over that for fun to emphasize the sentiment. Added some yellow ribbon and popped the sentiment up.
Thank you, Nicole, for the challenge! And thanks for looking.

Great save! I actually like those acrylic painted rings on the blue cardstock. It breaks up the pattern of the dry embossed circles in a fun, random way. I like the candles behind the sentiment, too. That was a great way to highlight the greeting. Thank you for playing in my challenge and Merry Christmas!
