but one lovely green frog who wants to be a ballerina!
What joy I had creating a birthday card for Irene and to make a ballerina for DEC18VSNE 'The Nutcracker'.
I knew right away, I'd have to dust off my frog princess. I used Brushos, smashing and swishing on the watercolor paper. She's a beautiful combination of greens. I fashioned a green tutu, added a '99' tattoo on her left thigh, a Vintage German scrap pink metallic bow. The cake (Concord & 9th) was stamped with VersaMark and embossed with White. Sprinkled Brushos on little bits and spritzed with water. Took a script liner WC brush to give the flowers more color. I rather like the scattering of the pinks. The Happy Birthday along the left side. I used a Stencil Girl flower stencil on the bg. And of course a banner with Irene above the ballerina.
Happy, Happy 99 Birthday, Irene.
Thanks for stopping by. May we all dance lightly across life. 99 sounds like fantastic life.

A total dream of a card and personalized with her name! You will prove to Irene that even at the age of 99, there's always something new to smile at in the world.

This is a fabulous, creatively designed card for Irene, Susan! Love the dancing frog with the beautifully coloured tutu and tulle and the bg looks so pretty!

This is SO fun, Susan! Oh my gosh, only you would have thought of this one and even created a tutu! Irene will certainly get a giggle out of this. I still admire all the fussy cutting you are willing to do to achieve these wonderful effects!

Lovely Brusho work, the cake looks as if it had been frosted with cream and crushed berries, so tasty. The tutu is enchanting, and brings back memories. I didn't do gallery for long...it turned out not to be really me and I happily gave up when my mother had pneumonia that winter, but I did love the little tulle tutu she made me.
