It's Tickle a Teapotter time and Susie is our guest hostess this week...you'll find her challenge and her catch-up with what's happening in Whykickamoocow HERE.
I have so many bird stamps that I couldn't decide which one to use to make a card for the Best of Birds category at the festival - so in the end I used none. Instead I found scraps of all sorts of backgrounds in a rainbow of colours and made a peacock. I already had the background, because LIDL recently had some glossy photo paper and I was curious (hopeful) to see whether it would work with DOX inks, smooshing them and then sponging all the oxidation off. As you can see - it worked. Yay. I stencilled some texture paste over the bottom part, added some brown fibre for the bird to perch on, and then decided to stencil a few stars with gold paint, sprinkled with gold glitter, in the top part. Stuck the piece to a white base and added black pen borders.
I stole the feet from a cardinal! I don't know why the peacock didn't come with any. The cardinal ones aren't really long enough, but for a perching bird they'll do.

Another Sabrina masterpiece! I don't know which is more colorful, the sky or the bird's tail. They are both spectacular. I love the way you added the texture paste to the bottom. And you cracked me up when you mentioned the cardinal's feet...I don't think the cardinal will mind..LOL

Nice feet...LOL! Wow, wow, wow Sabrina this is magnificent. I was so intrigued as to how you made this, unbelievable!!. The colours are bright and dramatic and must look even more incredible in real life. I can't imagine a more impressive bird at the Whykickamoocow Festival.
