My hands are very gluey; this card is very gluey.
Every once in a while, my flowery side comes out. I don't like to use 'feminine or masculine' because I think we've become too gender specific in our ideas. I actually prefer more simple, abstract or grungy stuff myself.
I used a gelli print I had stashed away. I cut four layers of the center piece and four layers of the words, which is why i'm so gluey. When I looked at the pictures I took of this card, I noticed how much like frosting it looked. All the texture of the acrylic paint and marks from the brayer makes it seem very much like a birthday cake, in my eyes. I sponged some cardstock with the cc so I could punch leaves and add trim at the top in bottom. The flowers are punched from another gelli print that used ai under the acrylic paint. Plugging away on these color challenges, my biggest challenge.

yum...and yes, you frosted like a pro. The sticky hands...that certainly comes from all those skinny layers. This does make for a fun birthday card. It is wonderful having stash. Yeah you for braving the CC.

It does look like a frosted cake, down to the iced sentiment. I used to be not bad at those but the last time I tried one for my MIL it was definitely showing lack of practice. I like the flowers and pearls - also very decorated cake-y. I think it's fun making no-stamp cards, much as I love colouring. (Not colour challenges, those freeze me in my tracks.)

Love all the texture and stacked dimension of your card. It does remind me of frosting now that you mention it and laughed out loud about the glue!! I know I can certainly relate! Haha
The chosen colors are representative of florals, so for that, kudos to your girly design Sweet & Lovely birthday card!
