This card was quite a challenge for me, I sponged the sunset (rather heavy handedly) with Distress Inks. The rivers' edge was created with Distress Oxides. I used a bit of German scrap to add some dimension.
This card for my daughter~in~love, who is leaving this morning for London to visit with her best friend.
This will be her first international trip. We couldn't be happier for her.
Thanks Sabrina for the two color die cut word challenge. It was fun and unexpected, but I like
the look. I do need some less skinny words, though!

Into my favourites. I love everything, the sponging (especially the water), the scale for the river bank. I think it looks good with these dies, it's still a lovely effect even if it would be more pronounced with chunkier letters. Itoh d myself thinking that maybe it's time for a larger alphabet than the one I have.

Beautiful card, Susan! Love the colors you used! Your daughter will love your card as well as London!
(Our daughter just left 12 days of living in a tent in a jungle outside of Peru! She did text us this afternoon to let us know she had a fabulous time and heading back to upstate NY.)
Would have been easier on me if she had gone to London!

The colors, skyline, white letters, font, and friendship theme all make this card remind me of the Friends TV show. And it’s gorgeous. I love the colors and the sponging! Isn’t this a fun technique—even on skinny letters.
