I didn't get to make this card until late last night because DH and DD2 decided we should go to an Artifact Show out of town yesterday. I went because they were both super excited to go and I thought I would get a good lunch out of it.
I ended up loving the artifact show - I got a vintage ring from the 40s, a necklace, and some old Nixon Presidential buttons for DD2 (she collects old political buttons). They had great barbecue sandwiches there and I ran into a few old friends (surprisingly as well).
Next to the show was a flea market we really like. I found a man who made green chili flavored pecans which were out of this world and I found some very old stamps. I got this old stove from the 1998 Love Bakes SU! set, the fun dotted bg stamp I used for the bottom panel, and several other great stamps. They were cheap too. So it was a wonderful day.
I combined the stove with the new SU! set Perfect Mix.

Fabulous card, Nancy. I love all your cards. You certainly had a fun day and finding old stamps is so cool. I have never heard of green chili flavored pecans. That sounds like a fun place to go.

Nancy, I love absolutely everything about this card. I am chuckling a bit by the fact you were inspired by a football for how to proceed with this old cook stove. I learned to cook on my grandmother's cook stove and sure wish I could do it again. It seemed magical all the steps that are necessary to get it fired up and going, but it sure made wonderful meals. Sounds like you had a fun day going to the artifact event and flea market- gotta love that; especially when you run into friends and bring fun new items home too. I love, love, love the corrugated piece you placed behind your cook stove. This is fabulous! ~Karen.

WHOO hoo...what a fun day you had and you really hit the jackpot with that fabulous stamp. You colored it perfectly. The recycled cardboard and lace bg look fantastic. What a terrific card. Dealing with life has replaced most of my free time lately, so it was really nice to stroll through your beautiful gallery this morning...you are so creative.

Brown and teal....a winner in my book because I just love these colors together! How cool that you found this old stamp set...love how you antiqued it and then added some pretty lace to make it a bit feminine. The corrugated panel and dotted bg look Amazing!

What fond memories you lovely card brings back to me, Nancy. As a very young child my paternal grandmother had a stove like this in her country kitchen...and she made the best fried chicken ever on it. Your card is SO beautifully done and I like the soft coloring for a vintage, faded feeling. The corrugated back panel reminds me of some of the metal farm outbuildings. I LOVE your card! Thanks for some faded memories.
