I didn't get to make this card until late last night because DH and DD2 decided we should go to an Artifact Show out of town yesterday. I went because they were both super excited to go and I thought I would get a good lunch out of it.
I ended up loving the artifact show - I got a vintage ring from the 40s, a necklace, and some old Nixon Presidential buttons for DD2 (she collects old political buttons). They had great barbecue sandwiches there and I ran into a few old friends (surprisingly as well).
Next to the show was a flea market we really like. I found a man who made green chili flavored pecans which were out of this world and I found some very old stamps. I got this old stove from the 1998 Love Bakes SU! set, the fun dotted bg stamp I used for the bottom panel, and several other great stamps. They were cheap too. So it was a wonderful day.
I combined the stove with the new SU! set Perfect Mix.

Nancy, you haven't lost your artful touch! How I love this and love the vintage look you added to that fantastic stove. The mitt looks dimensional. Only you could do such a superb job with these images.

I am so happy you had a great time and found some bargains. I love this stove. I have always done it on glossy paper and embossed it to get the enamel look but you have stolen my heart with this vintage look on the cardboard no less. This is a lovely vintage look my friend. You have out done yourself again.
Wow, what an adventure! So glad you went and had such a splendid time. Love your stove and I love baking, too. Just wish someone would do the clean up and keep it all from going to my thighs! ;)
Oh my ! How awesome it is, Nancy !!! I just can't get enough of your vintage creations. They are all so fabulous and your new works never fail to amaze me. I love love the rustic look on this card with teal and tan colors. It reminds me of happy old cabin. You are an artist dear friend !

Great find, Nancy, that stove is such a sweet image! Love your soft vintage palette and how you wrapped the corrugated layer with the pretty lace. Glad you had a fun family outing, sounds like it was a great time.
