Ribbon Plaid

This Teapotter Tickle challenge was to combine plaid, Celtic/Irish/Scottish, thistle flower. I wove a variety of purple and green ribbons to make a plad background. The ribbon plaid is framed with the celtic pattern die from PTI. The TT thistles are colored with copic and fussy cut, then popped up for the centerpiece. Little glimmer from skinny foil tape around the border, rhinestones in the corners and some of the ribbon has gold edges.

I hope my secret teapotter sister enjoys this creation.

Oh my goodness, what a creative background for your pretty thistles. And yes for a weed I think they are pretty. those 2 colors are so great together too. Glad you had time to join us....yah....and with such a pretty Irish card...TFS..:0)

OMG Sonja....this is AMAZING!! Your ribbon bg is so creative, I love the Celtic borders, and you even got the thistle in there as the center image...you get all the extra cookies this week! OO I just spotted the leaf ribbon intertwined in there...WOW.

Gosh - what an amazing creation! It's one of the ones that really stood out when I took a quick peek late last night on my phone. The Celtic frame is fabulous already, and then you created that amazing DIY plaid background with the ribbon weaving. And I love thistles. One year I let some grow, hoping to attract (Irish are different to yours) goldfinches who love the thistledown. I didn't succeed, I just had a fine crop of thistles the following year. But now I have plenty of goldfinches
