Last night I spied the CAS challenge and quickly sat down to recreate a card intended for today's CYS, switching it a patriotic theme with Memorial Day in mind. While I'm remembering my dad today, buried in a military cemetery, I'm actually sending this card to an unknown soldier. I met a wonderful lady in a Facebook group who shared her grandson is a new US Marine ~ we exchanged addresses for card and now I'm sending this to her for her to send to him ♥
AND - Pansy is our hostess for the CYS this month and asked us to create a card with a mouse ... I have lots of those! I chose Harvest Mouse by @myfavoritethings and use a color scheme of red and blue to go with the white and Stars dsp. I added sequins and hope they stay on for the long flight to Hawaii ♥

Totally nailed it! Love that mouse and the theme....I may have to CASE it to send to a grandson in the Air Force who is headed for South Korea on the 10th.

Kelly, it's wonderful that you're sending this adorable card to a new Marine. I know he will appreciate it. I want to send you my thanks for sharing your Dad with our country, and to honor his memory on this special day. Your card is a perfect way to honor the new Marine!

One terrific card and the words so perfect for someone who is probably a little homesick. You are so thoughtful, Kelly.
