Carla gave us a challenge to put a photo on our card. This really can personalize a card using a photo. This time, scanned my granddaughter photo. Using the Picasa photo editing changed it to a pencil sketching. Printed it on a texture paper. Colored with colored pencils. This is for her birthday card, she is turning 14. She use to love the spindles on our porch to play peek. This was fun to do, and will do it more often. TFL

This is just so sweet, Linda! What a great idea to use Picasa to change the photo to the pencil sketch effect and then color with colored pencils. I'll have to try this some time. Faved and pinned!

What you've done with your scanned photo looks amazing and the lovely white embossing keeps the focus on the photo! Such a special card for your grand daughter - beautiful name, BTW.

This is amazing! I sure miss Picasa (we have a new computer and you can't get it anymore). What a beautiful little granddaughter you have and such a fun picture, it melts my heart.

Linda, very cool take on the challenge. I had totally forgotten how much I enjoyed doing this type of thing in my old card creator package. Printing it on the textured paper makes it look just like a drawing.

This is so beautiful, Linda. I love how you changed the photo to a pencil drawing of your granddaughter. I also love it printed on the textured paper. This is so stunning and what a cute granddaughter you have!
