Mary is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has asked us to use Pool Party, Island Indigo, and Flirty Flamingo. The dessert option is "anything goes," so my dessert option is fussy cutting.
You might recall a couple of weeks ago I needed a thank you card (and kept my bunnies). Well, shame on me, now I need TWO thank you cards! So I decided to make two at once. Using the MFT Cover Up die gave me a stitched frame with stitched rectangles inside. I did a quick switcheroo and my design layers were done. They were applied to Pool Party bases.
Then I used some watercolor paper and stamped the butterfly and leaves with Ranger Archival ink. I used my new Arteza brush pens for the watercoloring, blending with a water brush, and coming as close to this week's challenge colors as I could. I fussy cut the butterflies and leaf sprays, glued them down and went on to the "thanks" portion. After dabbing tiny dots of glue on the back of the Flamingo word, I decided to make my life easier, and used some Stick-It paper behind the Indigo word before die cutting. Oh, sooo much easier! Love that stuff!
Now I am going to get these cards in the mail! Five minutes to write a thank you, two weeks to get the cards made!

these are really pretty thank you cards- and smart thinking to make 2 at once - fussy cutting is awesome-
I remember the card that you decided to keep a few weeks ago - I would have had trouble giving that one away as well
