Robin is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has asked us to make a project using the beautiful springtime combination of Pink Pirouette, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive. The dessert option is flowers. Check!
I was excited to try out my new stamp and template Wreath Builder set from Gina K. My first attempt turned out more like hand-made DS paper and less like a wreath, but still pretty! There is definitely a learning curve with this set, and I haven't quite mastered it yet. But I must say I did have fun experimenting with it. Since I wasn't completely satisfied with the actual wreath, I cut it into a circle and surrounded it with a die-cut stitched frame.
I embossed the olive layer with a floral embossing folder to carry out the theme, added the word, "friend," and then went over the word with a glitter pen. This card is already on its way to a friend who had a hip replaced last week.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

That new wreath stamp is gorgeous and whilenit didn't work quite as you wanted, the end result still resulted in a gorgeous design in the framed circle! Love the sparkle on the die cut sentiment too!

Barbara, your card is beautiful with the gorgeous floral wreath and embossing. You did a fantastic job with the floral center despite any difficulties.
