When I saw this challenge I knew exactly what I wanted to do having watched a Jennifer McGuire video some time ago where she die-cuts the top of her card and pops it on the edge, so this design isn't original and very similar to what she did...although hers was superb and not using flowers LOL.
Unfortunatley mine didn't come out as I expected but it does pop up at the top, but not how it should or as good as JM's LOL.
I wanted to have flowers popping off the edge and these were the only dies I had to hand that I thought would work. I'd also forgotten the technique so the moral of the story is...make sure you know what you are doing before you start LOL.
Flowers stamped and coloured and leaves clear embossed. Wasn't looking too bad at this stage and after a few embellishments I thought I'd recovered it...phew...close shave.
It was at this stage when I was about to pop the panel off the edge of my cardstock that I'd somehow managed to make the card way too big for the envelope and it wasn't quite going to plan LOL.
When I don't know what I'm doing and I'm on a time limit, I bring in my #2 contingency....add some coloured cardstock and pretty embellishments. Now it was looking better and the flowers still popped up so they met the challenge...just... LOL.
I did try popping a butterfly on top of the twine but it looked too busy.
I do love this technique and shall have another go another day and when I have more time.
TFL Happy day

Wow Sis !! So fabulous and ambitious!! Lol all I did was pop some of my premade tropical flowers I made added to my stash getting a jump and ready set go when the hour for each Challenge. And still when it finally did I lacked mojo lol something to bad we can premake and add to the stash. So I bow to your ambition of trying on the time crunch. But trust me sis this is your first try at VSN. You will be ready and have lots of tips by the next one on how to beat that time crunch . wink you know one of my fav saying is “Live And Learn” haha which should have been my inspiration word challenge. Haha
Oh btw? Ambitionly fabulous creation!!
