A Christmas card for this month's Dirty Dozen challenge - if you're a Fan Club member, why not come and join us for a headstart on your festive card stash?! Details of the March challenge are here
I did a spot of recycling here and used one of my favourite materials to rescue from the trash - a tomato paste tube (try an Italian grocery store if your regular place only has it in cans - the tube metal is a perfect crafting material!). I used it with an embossing folder for the main panel (coated with some gesso and sanded back) and also punched out a couple of different sizes of circle which make fabulous metallic domes if you rub over them with an embossing stylus on a foam mat.
Supplies:
Metal from a tomato paste tube
Retro Circles embossing folder
Gesso
Snowflake die (Waltzingmouse stamps, no longer with us)
Brilliance ink by Tsukineko (Pearlescent Chocolate)
Memento Luxe ink by Tsukineko (Love Letter)
Crop a Dile and small circle punch
Pinflair glue gel
White and chocolate brown card stock

Wow, Joanne, this is so very retro and cool! I love the amazing embossed area (totally in awe of the results when I read all that went into it), and what richness in the colors and texture. How clever too to use the material to make metallic domes. I love it completely and agree that it would make a fabulous masculine card for Christmas!! Hugs! xoxo

Fabulous, Joanne! I don't think I've ever seen a tube of tomato paste. I will have to look more carefully. It looks amazing embossed & gessoed like this.

Wow, wow, wow! This looks amazing Joanne. Sabrina once sent me a recycled tube and it was fabulous to die cut feathers and cogs. I never thought to emboss it!!!!! Everything about this is wonderful. TFS
