An oldie-but-goodie Penny Black stamp from my stash found its way to my desk today. I'm on a quest to try to start using my patterned papers before they take over my craft room! I did some layering with those, then stamped the image (Aspire 3381K Penny Black) onto a piece of watercolor paper. I added some water with a brush to give it a watercolor look. Using my TH distress inks, I used the foam applicators to apply greens and browns for the background.
I cut the image with a Spellbinder's die, then distressed the edges, added some background interest with some old Penny Black stamps, and embossed the curly one with white. I adhered this with foam tape for dimesion.

Lynda, this is beautiful and I see the colors from your inspiration and the white curly is perfect for the headboard. Glad you were inspired to play along.

Just awesome job - especially after looking at your inspiration photo. You really captured that look and feel. Love all of your stamping and distressing.
