I have a friend who loves owls so every Christmas I make her a card with an owl on it. Since I have limited owl stamps, I took advantage of this commercial card I received from someone else - it is such a lovely image of an owl that it was perfect to recycle and turn into a card for my owl-loving friend.
I trimmed the owl image with an inverted scallop die, cut a mat using a blue-silver shimmer cs and the next largest inverted scallop die, layered it on off-white cs that I stamped with the sentiment, and then used a gold shimmer card base.

I can certainly see why you would have saved this image, Susan...it is GORGEOUS!! How terrific that you can recycle it into a very special and beautiful Christmas card for a friend who loves owls.
