Another card for Dina's Patterned Panel MIXed media challenge. I made this last night in an attempt to stay up at least till 9 o clock. I'd made a similar card last weekend as a sample for an upcoming challenge, and while I missed part of the instructions for the technique, I loved how the card came out and have already mailed it off - so it was fun to make this one just focussing on the images and not the technique which I didn't use.
Stamped the tall mushroom on the woodgrain DP. Then decided I wanted more to fill the card, so I masked it and added the second smaller clump. Coloured them with pencils, added Liquid Pearl and gel pen details, SN clear glitter pen on all the caps, and Glossy Accents on the two tiny ones on the left.
Thought about where to go next, looked through all my sentiments and found that this one fit beautifully, so to add to the woodland feel I just added a few butterflies stamped on a scrap piece of gingham (IO Cover-a-Card). Then I pencilled in the grass, added an acrylic border and left it to dry overnight. This morning I added a little Stickles to the frame to give it a more distressed look, and stuck the whole thing on a 6" card base.
The butterfly antennae is my usual tomato paste tube.
